Experience amateur radio in the field with our portable operations day. Learn to set up temporary stations and operate from remote locations.

## Operating Locations

- **Mount Eden**: High elevation VHF/UHF operations
- **Cornwall Park**: HF operations with portable antennas
- **Mission Bay**: Beach operations and maritime mobile
- **Auckland Domain**: Urban portable operations

## Activities

- **Operating Techniques**: Field operating procedures
- **Emergency Scenarios**: Simulated emergency communications

- Portable radios and antennas
- Power systems and batteries
- Test equipment and tools

## Schedule

- **8:00 AM**: Meet at clubhouse
- **9:00 AM**: Travel to first location
- **10:00 AM - 4:00 PM**: Operating at various sites
- **5:00 PM**: Return to clubhouse for debrief

## Prerequisites

- Valid amateur radio license
- Basic operating experience
- Physical ability to carry equipment
- Weather-appropriate clothing
